Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil or from deforestation, that traps heat which would escape from the Earth. That was a type of greenhouse effect.
Vanessa: GREAT JOB! Nice research hun. ;)
Rising carbon emission might kill off the ocean's coral reefs by 2050. Burning coal, oil, and gas adds carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, the same gas we put into our air.So, when carbon dioxide enters the ocean, it makes the ocean more acidic and stops the coral from growing, Also make them die.

Jenny Falatko:You did a good job. I like the pictures and the info
Eight years after warming seas caused the worst coral die-off. Coral reefs are unable to recover. Many reefs have been reduced to rubble, a collapse that has deprived fish of food and shelter.
Small but prolonged rises in sea temperature force coral colonies to expel their symbolic, food-producing algae, a process known as bleaching. The coral turn to a bleached white, they are able to recover but many do not.

Befor bleaching After bleaching

Coral reefs are extremly vulnerable to warm tempurature changes. The algea living will die when the waters tempurature rises, leaving large areas of dead, bleached coral reefs.
They are know as, "the rainforests of the sea" and make up only 1% of the marine enviornment but are home to 25% of life in the ocea.

Haley Krider: I like the informatinon. i didnt know the water even bleached like that and i love the pictures.
Why are coral so valuable?

Coral reefs are some of the most biologically rich and economically valuable ecosystems on Earth. They provide food, jobs, income, protection, and many other important services to billions of people worldwide. And Aside from their stunning beauty and rich marine life, coral reefs provide protection to coastal communities from hurricanes, and chemical compounds extracted from coral are used in medicine for cancer, AIDS, and other diseases.
Kayla: good information, well done, informing.
Libby Volk: I thought the information given was good and i like how you showed before and after pictures.
